Swimming Safari will be closed Monday May 29th due in observance of Memorial Day!

This closure has been prorated out of your tuition total for May so you DO NOT need to schedule a make up lesson.

If you feel as though you may have been charged for these classes please let our office staff know.

Jungle Tots (24-48 months old)

Student to teacher ratio: 3:1

Our Jungle Tots program has been designed for toddlers of all skill levels. We have three levels, designed to accommodate a wide range of abilities. All of our Jungle Tots’ classes are taught without a parent in the water. Each lesson will be filled with several games, toys, and songs, designed to create a positive and enjoyable experience for the student.

Jungle Tots Program Details:

Class Length: 30 minutes

Max Class Size: 3 Students

Students that are 2 and 3 year of age.

  • Jungle Tots 1 (Getting Comfortable in the Water)

    This class is designed as an introduction to the water for fearful non-swimmers or swimmers new to separation from parent. This class is focused on increasing the student’s confidence and independence in the water by encouraging each student at their own speed. This class promotes learning by offering games and songs to help children relax and introduce them to water safety skills, balance, breath control, and survival floating.

    Please Note: This class may be taught as a combined lesson with our other Jungle Tots levels.

    Prerequisite: 24 months old

    End Goals: Comfortable submerging face (3 sec.), assisted survival float, assisted jumps.

  • Jungle Tots 2 (Holding Breath & Balance in the Water)

    This class is designed to build on the skills learned in Jungle Tots 1 or a Splish-Splash Babies class. Students in this class will further develop their independence in the water and be introduced to balance, independent gliding and unassisted floating. Skills and lessons are taught using fun activities to help the children enjoy the water and work at each student’s pace.

    Please Note: This class may be taught as a combined lesson with our other Jungle Tots levels.

    Prerequisite: The child is comfortable in the water without a parent and submerging face, or through trial class evaluation.

    End Goals: Unassisted glide with submerged face (3-5ft), one-handed survival float, unassisted jumps.

  • Jungle Tots 3 (Front & Back Kicking, Rolling Over)

    This class is designed to build on the skills learned in the Jungle Tots 2 class so that students work on further developing their independence in the water. They will learn front paddling, independent streamlining with kicking and independent survival floating. With a great combination of fun and challenges, this class creates a base skill set to build on as our students move on.

    Please Note: This class may be taught as a combined lesson with our other Jungle Tots levels.

    Prerequisite: Unassisted glide submerged face (3-5ft), independent survival float, unassisted jumps, or through trial class evaluation.

    End Goals: Front paddle (7+ ft.), independent survival float, independent streamline with kicking.

  • Jungle Tots 4 (Advanced Breathing & Kicking)

    This class is designed to build on the skills learned in the Jungle Tots 3 class. Students will work on further developing their independence, propulsion, and stroke development. They have the opportunity to learn the basic kicks to the main four strokes, as well as, new breathing techniques to increase their swimming distance. With a great combination of fun and challenges, this class will continue your student’s progress until they have reached the age to join our Mighty Monkeys program.

    Please Note: This class may be taught as a combined lesson with our other Jungle Tots levels.

    Prerequisite: Graduation from a Jungle Tots 3 class or with a trial class evaluation.

    End Goals: Independent swim float swim, catch-up arms, side breathing, elementary backstroke, backstroke arms and proper kicks for all 4 strokes.
